Christianity’s Claim of Truth in Jesus:

Americans would ridicule you if you suggested that Osama Bin Laden might be in heaven someday. What would Jews say if you ever considered the possibility of Hitler in heaven? Christians suggest, however, that Jesus’ ministry has the power to redeem anyone; whether it be us, or Hitler and his horrendous, murderous self can be made “righteousness”. This is not bad gramma. The evilest person can become God’s righteousness. That is the proclamation made about Jesus.

The Bible says in (2 Cor. 5:20-21), “Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” The phrase ‘We might become the righteousness of God’ implies that God took an action and it resulted in a product called righteousness and that noun called righteousness is Augustus Henry or possibly the incessant adulterer. That is an extraordinary claim. That claim is further extended to all human beings including Hitler, the obeah man, the child molester, the rapist, and the murderer (John 3:16). That is an extraordinary promise!

Why would someone with no knowledge or convictions about Christianity believe that? Science says that the sun will die one day or the world will be destroyed

Most of us would be better off if we watched less television, limited social media and read more good books. However, when it comes to what is being sold in bookstores, there is a battle for ideology. We hear of book deals being canceled because of unpopular political stands. We hear of actors and actresses being fired or written off shows for siding with conservatives. Many of us want to escape the current cultural crisis. The only thing we can control is ourselves. What mindset should we adopt to survive? How would Jesus handle our “cancel culture?”

Philippians 2:5–11 (ESV) says, “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore, God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

02/19/2021 Algeria (International Christian Concern) –For the first time in 20 years, Algeria has a new government. They’ve changed the constitution, promised an end to corruption, and agreed to the promotion of human rights. But underscoring each of these promises is the same question that has haunted the Church ever since Algeria gained independence: Is Christianity welcome?

The history of Christianity and Algeria are intertwined. Christianity came to Algeria in the Roman era and the nation was fully immersed in Christianity by the fifth century. St. Augustine, one of the most influential Christian thinkers since St. Paul some argue, was born in Algeria in 354.

Despite its rich Christian heritage, by the time Algeria gained independence in 1962, most Christians in the country felt like foreigners. The Church’s presence evaporated almost overnight as Algeria attempted to recreate its own identity following French colonialism.

The subsequent question of whether Christianity belongs in Algeria was portrayed in the 2010 film Of Gods and Men. The film follows the story of Trappist monks who made the choice to stay in Algeria despite the violence directed at Christians. Nearly 25 years ago, they were murdered for their faith.

Aware of his upcoming death and the hardships that future Algerians would face, one monk left behind a letter that wished for peace and brotherhood for all. “May we find each other happy,” he wrote.

The great conservative talk show radio pioneer Rush Limbaugh pointed out his “personal relationship with Jesus Christ” before his death.

Limbaugh, whose work has influenced a generation of American politics, died at the age of 70 due to advanced lung cancer.

A previous CBN News report said that on February 3, 2020, Limbaugh announced to his 20 million-member audience that he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

“This day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory, for me, because I’ve known this moment was coming,” Limbaugh said. “I’m sure that you all know by now that I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me… one thing that I know, that has happened over the 31-plus years of this program is that there has been an incredible bond that had developed between all of you and me.”

He then continued by saying that his job gave him the “greatest satisfaction and happiness” of his life and it was very hard for him to announce his condition.

“I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down. The upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer,” he said.

“The Rush Limbaugh Show,” launched in 1988, is a three-hour daily conservative talk show that quickly gained listeners across the country, CBN News wrote. The show went on to have the largest audience on the radio, an influence that made Limbaugh an enemy of the left and a kingmaker on the right.
